Amanda Corday
LA/NY *Experience as a reader in 2 major casting offices.* Recent client BOOKED an Off-Broadway play and another was PINNED by casting for a procedural! I know how crucial it is to have a grounded, non-distracting reader. I've worked in tv/film since I was a kid and have been auditioning just as long. As a reader I'm dialed in, natural, with a strong understanding of tone and character. I'm American and have a neutral American accent (skilled at other dialects if that is something you need). I was on a house sketch team at UCB for several years and if you have comedy sides or want to improvise, that's right in my wheelhouse.
Let's tape, rehearse, run lines, whatever you need--this is YOUR TIME. I am happy to give you any notes that might help, or simply to provide a natural read on the other side of the camera. Whatever works for you; I want you to feel safe, have fun, and use the time in a way that makes you feel confident.
I have coached and read for several friends who have gone on to book those roles in TV, film and theater! Meisner, Strasberg, UCB trained. How can I help?
Some recent credits include:
FBI: Most Wanted (CBS)
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon)
Love Life (HBO)
Somewhere In Queens (Dir. Ray Romano, Hulu)
Fresh Kills (Dir. Jennifer Esposito, Apple TV+ and Amazon)
