Hey there! I am an MFA trained (A.C.T.) actor who would be happy to read for your upcoming self-tape, audition, or class scene. I love to see my fellow actors succeed!
I bring a calm, grounded energy and will provide an encouraging, non-judgmental space that allows you to do your thing with ease. Let’s have fun with it!
I'm great with British dialects, West African dialects (particularly Ghanaian), and I speak conversational French.
Afua (she/they) is a first-generation Ivorian and Ghanaian-American actress from Gaithersburg, Maryland. A graduate of American Conservatory Theater’s M.F.A. Acting program, she most recently appeared as Esther in Intimate Apparel at Utah Shakespeare Festival.
Afua’s travels and unique multi-cultural background have greatly influenced her exploration of black identity within the complexity of the first-generation experience. She seeks to amplify the voices of women+ of the African Diaspora and tell the untold stories of her West African ancestors.
